Hamster ear discharge

Q. my hamster is two and a half years old and he is just started to get discharge from both of his ears.I have been bathing them with cooled boiled water and dont see any ear mites down there .What should i do.many thanks

Your hamster is quite elderly at 2.5years old, I would recommend that he is checked by a vet as he may require ear drops or antibiotics if there is an infection. Further investigation of underlying causes may be required
